The year 2021 came with many challenges and although it was year two of the global Covid-19 pandemic, our team still had to adapt to the Covid-19 variants and its ever-changing course. The 108th Grey Cup in Hamilton
As a proud Canadian company, the opportunity for us to provide the tenting to the Canadian Football League for the 108th Grey Cup in Hamilton last year was an absolute honour. The iconic Grey Cup is a staple of the Canadian sporting landscape and we thoroughly enjoyed working with the league and their respective sponsors for the big game!

Covid-19 Testing & Vaccination Sites
With so many social events postponed or cancelled entirely due to Covid-19, PETR was able to use our inventory and related resources to be a positive contributor to the pandemic in the Greater Toronto Area. Throughout 2020, 2021, and into the first quarter of 2022, we have been able to work with many testing and vaccination sites, as well as healthcare and long term care facilities to help combat and mitigate the devastating effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are thankful for the opportunities we have had to engage in this ongoing battle – and we remain ready to help should any further needs arise in the future.

2021 Wedding Season
With many event venues closed during the pandemic, one of our major accomplishments in 2021 was helping clients find creative ways to host their dream weddings in other locations during this difficult time. With all the Covid uncertainty regarding guidelines and government policies, many weddings were moved outdoors with a new perspective and backdrop. PETR was able to step in with our top-of-the-line tenting and flooring solutions and provide a space for ceremonies & receptions if they provided the land. From our clear top structures or the Monaco Series, to our carpet & vinyl flooring, Premier showed we can transform any space into a dream wedding venue!
2022 IS UPON US! Professional golf is back in Canada!!
The 2022 RBC Canadian Open
We are thrilled that, after two successive years of cancellations, the RBC Canadian Open is back for 2022 – and is larger than ever! The 2022 tournament will take place at St. George’s Golf and Country Club in Etobicoke, Ontario from June 6th – 12th . We are extremely excited to be part of this prestigious sporting event, and are already well underway with our extensive build for this year’s tournament. From spectator viewing platforms, to air conditioned corporate hospitality suites, and tents of all sizes and configurations – PETR works hard with Golf Canada to ensure a truly world-class setup, and we are totally committed to making the 2022 RBC Canadian Open the most memorable tournament yet!
The 2022 CP Women’s Open
The LPGA is also coming back to Canada after a pandemic-induced two year hiatus! The 2022 CP Women’s Open LPGA tournament will be held from August 22nd – 28th at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. As we do at the men’s tournament, we will be heavily involved in providing tenting, flooring, elevated decks, railings, and ancillary services for the LPGA tournament. The CP Women’s Open showcases the world’s best female golfers, and traditionally attracts virtually all of the world’s top female golfers to compete for the $2.35 million USD prize money purse. If your summer travel plans include a visit to the Ottawa area, we would strongly recommend that you arrange to be at the Ottawa Hunt that week to take in this world-class event. ‘I do’ Season has Arrived
With two years of pent up demand for weddings (and social events in general!!) 2022 promises to be a very busy wedding season. The last two years have been a challenge for all of us as we have had to adapt to the ever-changing conditions and restrictions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. Another Happy Client… They Said It Not Us!
Andrew and his team built us not just one but TWO beautiful tents for our cottage wedding. We had a tent on a barge and on grass and both were super sturdy. And not only were they sturdy and beautiful, they were also extremely waterproof… it rained so much on our wedding day and we had no issues at all!! I just want to thank you and your wonderful team for doing such an amazing job, you made our day so magical. And really without you, the day would have been a disaster!!!! So THANK YOU!!!
