Premier Event Tent Rentals 2024

As we look back on 2024, it's been a successful year of new opportunities, creativity and unforgettable events for Premier Event Tent Rentals (PETR). We transformed numerous outdoor spaces into stunning wedding venues, festive corporate events, memorable backyard parties, and world class sporting events. To fuel our growth, we invested heavily in new and innovative tenting and flooring equipment, expanding our inventory of high-quality tent structures and flexible flooring/decking systems, uniquely positioning us to contribute to countless outstanding event setups in the future. Here's a look at some of the highlights from the past year - we hope you enjoy them! We'd love the opportunity to work with you in 2025.

JANUARY

As 2024 began, PETR spent the wintery days preparing for the busy summer months ahead. At a time when crews were not on the road installing tents as much, among many other productive tasks for PETR itself, our sister company, Premier Tent Fabrication (PTF) spent many hours producing brand new tent fabric components along with custom products for various clients and applications.

Owning and operating PTF is one of the many strengths that separates Premier from other local suppliers. Our in-house, full-service team allows us to provide custom solutions for unconventional spaces, make necessary repairs and alterations to existing products, and throughout the hectic summer months, gives us the ability to solve inventory restrictions to accommodate last-minute requests.

FEBRUARY

Despite the ongoing cold temperatures in February, Premier seized the opportunity to meet clients' needs for additional indoor spaces to facilitate their business operations. We provided the perfect environment by utilizing our adaptable clearspan structure, complete with flooring, double glass doors, lighting, and heating. This setup transformed into a pop-up Sales Centre for Mattamy Homes, offering them an ideal venue to showcase their latest project.

By the end of the month, Premier demonstrated its commitment to supporting Ontario's TV and film industry, contributing to some of the biggest shows on television. A notable example was our work on a film set located in a quarry in Kawartha Lakes, illustrating how Premier can deliver tailored solutions across diverse locations throughout the province.

MARCH

With Spring approaching, preparation becomes essential for a tent company to ensure a successful busy season. This period is crucial for conducting thorough maintenance on equipment, assessing inventory, and refining logistics to meet the demands of upcoming events. By taking the time to prepare, we can identify any necessary repairs, optimize our fleet, and ensure that all tents and accessories are in top condition. Additionally, effective planning allows us to anticipate client needs and respond quickly as requests come in, ultimately enabling us to deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences for our customers throughout the busy season.

APRIL

With warmer weather and the snow melted, Premier was able to begin setup for the 2024 RBC Canadian Open hosted by Golf Canada at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to stay on schedule with the setup for another PGA Tour event. Pictured below is the largest single structure that was built for the event; a 12.5mx50m double-decker providing over 13,000 sq. Ft. of usable event space!

April also saw our crews busy with setups for the first outdoor social events of 2024across the GTA. Photographed is a backyard setup for a private concert in Etobicoke. Our clearspan structure with all clear fabric was the perfect fit for a beautiful Spring Day.

MAY

May marks the unofficial start of the Canadian tent season, and we hit the ground running! In addition to our ongoing social events and weddings, Premier secured an exciting new opportunity in 2024: The Brick's Bi-Annual Tent Sale. We provided clearspan structures complete with side walls and lighting for 26 Brick stores across Ontario. We are proud to partner with a great Canadian company and look forward to building a long and mutually beneficial relationship.

May also saw the ramp up of our backyard social event/ wedding season. One of our highlights each year is the custom setup at Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto, where the trees within the tent create a magical ambiance perfect for any celebration. Additionally, we provided an ideal backyard solution for a client looking to create extra space to host a school graduation party. Our innovative solution involved a floor over the pool, featuring translucent Plexi panels and a rolled vinyl laminate perimeter. This setup allowed guests to dance freely and enjoy themselves without any obstacles!

JUNE

June was a remarkable month for Premier, showcasing the results of our hard work. After months of dedicated preparation, the 2024 RBC Canadian Open presented by Golf Canada kicked off its tournament week. This year's setup was 20% larger than 2023, making it the biggest event yet in terms of tenting, flooring, railing, and furnishings. Premier provided an impressive 222 tents, 161,000 square feet of carpeting, 7,100 linear feet of white railing, and 95,600 square feet of levelled elevated deck space. It is an honor to contribute to such a prestigious event each Spring and we hope you can attend at TPC Toronto in June 2025!

In addition to the PGA Tour golf tournament, June is one of the busiest months for weddings and other social functions keeping Premier's schedule packed. Many engaged couples turned to Premier to help realize their dream wedding venues, and based on the photos, it seems we succeeded in making it a memorable experience for everyone!

JULY

With Summer in full swing and the RBC Canadian Open behind us, the Premier golf operations team headed west to execute the CPKC Women's Open presented by Golf Canada at the Earl Grey Golf Club in Calgary, Alberta. Our crew rose early and worked late to meet the mid-month deadline. The LPGA Tour event, held from July 15th to 18th, featured one of the strongest player fields in the world. We take immense pride in being a small part of the tournament's overall success, and when the cameras roll on Sunday afternoon with our double-decker structure in the background, those long days truly feel worthwhile!

Meanwhile, back in Ontario, along with hosting dozens of weddings and corporate events, Premier had the honour of partnering with Honda Indy to provide gallery tenting for dedicated racing fans.

Another highlight of July was the successful installation and removal of our 25M clearspan structure for a 450-person wedding. Nestled in a stunning rural setting in Mono, this 9,000+ square foot structure created the perfect backdrop for the lovely couple, and the pictures certainly speak for themselves!

AUGUST

The golf tournaments continued into August, and with the RBC Canadian Open and the CPKC Women's Open successfully behind us, our golf team remained in Calgary to kick off the setup for the Rogers Charity Classic, a PGA Champions Tour event. Premier set up 66 tents, levelled decks, railings, and other accessories for hospitality and event services, ensuring yet another successful event in 2024.

August also marked the continuation of the wedding season. A particularly exciting moment was the inaugural setup of our brand-new structure; the Monaco Conservatory, at Fox Harb'r Resort in Nova Scotia for a stunning oceanfront wedding. With its unique roofline, this structure stands apart from other tent styles, providing an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

SEPTEMBER

The use of temporary tenting and flooring continued at a brisk pace in September as we had the privilege of partnering with numerous couples for their special day, hosting large corporate events, and organizing "the talk of the town" charity fundraiser at the Aga Khan Museum. For the Aga Khan Museum setup, used for their 2024 Lapis Ball Fundraising Gala, Premier installed the Monaco Conservatory as the centerpiece, complemented by additional black Monaco structures for catering, entrances, and other support spaces. As seen in the photo, the result was absolutely stunning! The glass walls and double glass doors ensuring climate control, contributing to an incredibly successful evening for the Museum and its beneficiaries.

At the end of September, Premier was involved in another major golf tournament that took us out of the province. The President's Cup: a prestigious international golf tournament held every other year at sites all over the world, was held in Canada and specifically, the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec. Premier was thrilled to install our Double Decker structure behind the 16th green, welcoming die-hard golf fans for four days of match play action. We are grateful to the organizers and appreciate the support of over100,000 fans attending this successful tournament week!

OCTOBER

As Fall arrived and the leaves transformed into vibrant shades, we installed tents against the stunning backdrop of autumn colours for many brides and grooms. The milder temperatures made our clear clearspan structures perfect for wedding guests to enjoy the outdoor ambiance and the unique charm of the season.

Our next multi-week annual project was the International Plowing Match, held from October 1-5 in Lindsay. This small "tented city" fosters a wonderful sense of community among attendees, and we look forward to creating that welcoming atmosphere again next year in the Township of West Lincoln.

NOVEMBER

Premier kept the momentum going into November, providing tented solutions to several large-scale events. The highlight of the month was the installation of a 60'x165' structure, complete with entrance and catering spaces, to host corporate representatives from around the globe for a dinner event. This setup at Peller Estates in Niagara-on-the-Lake Wine Country marked the largest tented event ever held on the venue's back lawn.

To wrap up the month, Premier also began building decks for the 2025 RBC Canadian Open, scheduled to take place at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in June of next year. As the tournament scope expands each year, it's crucial for our team to get a head start when resources are available, alleviating some operational pressures in the Spring.

DECEMBER

The Premier team took advantage of a reduced workload in December to hold a staff appreciation event at Kl Speed Toronto. This was a great opportunity for our team to bond further as a group, maintain a positive culture in the workplace and have a great few hours racing each other for the top spot before preparing for another busy year in 2025.
